Last week the CPA profession announced changes to the way the CPA Canada Advanced Certificate in Accounting and Finance (ACAF) program will be delivered. Since the program launched, the profession has partnered with post-secondary institutions (PSIs) to deliver the ACAF technical courses. To build on the success of this partnership, PSIs will soon begin also delivering the applied courses.
CPAWSB will continue to offer Applied Courses through 2017. Registration for the Fall 2017 semester closes August 31, 2017 (September 14, 2017, for Ethics and Workplace Skills). Starting in 2018, the ACAF program will be available exclusively through select PSIs in Western Canada. This is an exciting opportunity that will help improve the student experience and provide a variety of delivery formats.
ACAF accredited post-secondary institutions will be announced over the coming months and CPAWSB students enrolled in ACAF as of December 31, 2017, will receive a seamless and supported transition from CPAWSB to post-secondary partners, where they will be able to complete the remainder of the program. Additional updates will be provided as they become available.
